Full stack by trade, from startups to Fortune 50. Lately I work at the edges of AI, where it meets people, and I like the thing that builds the thing as much as the final polish.
Two things I have picked up along the way: trust beats process, and simple beats clever. Outside work: barbecue, teaching my kids how fun the world can be, and building things with my hands. Some of them even compile.

- Highlight: a video pipeline that transcribes a YouTube channel's catalog and classifies each video for brand-safety risk and ad placement.

- Led the R&D initiative that put an LLM in the product early: users describe what they need, the model writes the code and runs it against their data tables. Function calling and structured output, hand-built before the APIs offered either. An internal idea, shipped to customers.
